The Executive Council of Delhi University has decided to take action against the appointees of VC who got suspended by the President. Also, to institute a fact-finding committee to probe the events that led to an administrative breakdown within the university after October 21.
During a meeting held on Thursday, the order issued by Education Ministry on Wednesday was tabled. It mentioned the visitorial inquiry against the suspended VC Yogesh Tyagi.
The member of Executive Council Rajesh Jha said: “It was decided by the EC that a fact-finding committee will be constituted and Prof Geeta Bhatt will be issued a memorandum. It was also decided that Prof P C Jha will not be given any administrative posts.”
Apparently, Bhatt was appointed Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Jha Acting Registrar by Tyagi. They didn’t answer calls and texts.
